About Us

LiveOut is run by students for students. We were tired of trekking down the Cowley Road visiting six or so Letting Agents and spending hours picking up housing lists. So, we thought, why not put all these lists onto one website, with lots of photos, Google maps, search functionality and the ability to save favourite properties?

The result is LiveOut. Our aim for LiveOut is to make the student experience of looking for housing as simple and hassle-free as possible. Log on to the website and virtually every single property in every single letting and estate agent in Oxford is at your fingertips – that’s 1100 properties to date. Our database of letting and estate agents includes:

We've tried to make the website as comprehensive and easy-to-use as possible. We are constantly adding new features, updating the design and improving the backbone database management. Throughout the past year our team has grown much bigger and we now have a full time Chief Technology Officer, as well as Marketing and PR Advisors. David Nash, CEO, is studying Economics and Management at Exeter College, Oxford, and is Director of the Re: Birth Networks Media Group.

Andrew Whyte, CTO, graduated from his Natural Sciences Masters at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, in 2006. He has been publishing IT textbooks regularly since 2000.

Richard Price, Director of Investment and Business Relations, is a prize fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. He also runs PeopleRadar.com a facebook add-on service.
